Mrs Rita Oputa-Oru
Managing Director
Mrs Rita Oputa-Oru began her public service career in 1980 as a Secretary to the Deputy Registrar of the West African Examination Council (WAEC), where she oversaw nationwide Secondary School examinations with meticulous precision. After a successful career in public service, she transitioned into the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. Driven by her passion for innovation and business acumen, she founded a company and became a trader, specialising in trade and supply of petrochemicals to clients which included Guinness Nigeria. In 2021 she founded GRA out of the desire to promote indigenous commercial development of Nigeria’s mineral resources. Her journey is a testament of resilience, determination, and the power of entrepreneurship to effect positive change. She is a graduate of Pitman College, London.
Dr Timothy Okon
Lead Technical Advisor
Dr Timothy Okon is a reputable geoscientist and member of many prestigious societies. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology/Geophysics from ABU Zaria University, an MSc., PhD and DIC from Imperial College, London. He joined ExxonMobil in 1978 as a geophysicist and rose to become the General Manager, (Oilfield) Development Planning for Mobil Producing Nigeria. In 2007 he joined NNPC Ltd and held positions such as Group General Manager, Corporate Strategy; Acting Group Executive Director (Exploration and Production); and Group Coordinator (Corporate Planning & Strategy). Dr Okon served as the Special Adviser on Fiscals to the Nigerian Minister of State for Petroleum Resources from 2016 to 2019.
